Week-3 Challenge: ADVISOR Tool
1. For EV_defaults_in file, if cargo mass is 500 kg with all other default conditions, can the vehicle travel for 45 km with FTP drive cycle? Conclude your observations.
To solve this challenge first of all we have to install the advisor tool ( Advanced Vehical Simulator Module), This software has its own module same like the used in the vehical. After installation the software extract the zip file and then add the path of the matlab folder. Further save and run the module.
select the EV_defaults_in file and default cargo mass is 136 we have to set the cago mass 500 kg and the set the drive cycle to the FTP mode.

Set the cargo mass to the 500 kg.

The drive cycle chosen is FTP (Federal Test Procedure) and the maximum distance travelled is 17.7 km in the 1 cycle.
To achieve 45 km of distance the FTP Drive Cycle to be repeated 2.6 times which will cover the distance of 45.135 km,

Showing the warming error.
CONCLUSION :-
From the simulation we can concluded that the vehicle didn’t run for distance of 45.135 km and there is an error showing out that the required distance exceeded the EV range. So, in order to achieve the required distance we need to increase the battery capacity.
2. In the above case, try changing the battery capacity and repeat the simulation.
we have increase the battery range 25 to 35. shown in below figure.

In that case when we increase the battery capacity from 25 to 35 it is able chase the given KM miter in that capacity. figure shown in below.

CONCLUSION :- From this simulation we can conclude that the given distance (45 Km) is being achieved by increasing the battery modules for extra power required to run the vehicle above 47.5 Km.
3. Perform gradeability test with PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in file
Compare your results in table and conclude.
we have select the PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in file for that question and run the gradebility test over it.

i have incerase the speed mph gradually from 5 to 102 and also mention the gradebility highest to zero.

taken the test for 8km/h

taken the test for 16.1km/h

taken the test for 24.1km/h

taken the test for 32.2km/h

taken the test for 40.2km/h

taken the test for 48.3km/h

taken the test for 56.3km/h
taken the test for 64.4km/h

taken the test for 144.8km/h

taken the test for 160.9km/h

taken the test for 164.2km/h
Above figure shows the km/h and the gradebility for that we have taken the 11 test and below shows that table of the parameters.

CONCLUSION:- From the above repeated test we can concluded that whwn we increases the speed gradebility will be decreases.
