1. EV_defaults_in as the vehicle.

Cargo Weight = 500Kg

The distance travelled by the vehicle is 17.77 km for FTP cycle with the number of duty cycle as 1.

Desired range of 45km cannot be achieved keeping the defaults.

Increasing the number of duty cycle may increase the distance travelled

Increasing the battery capacity to 30 KW from 25KW , the distance travelled by the vehicle with FTP cycle.

Keeping the number of duty cycle as 1, is 17.8 Km.

Increasing the number of duty cycle to 2, results in increase of distance of 35.5 km

With increase in duty cycle to 3, the distance increases to 49.1 Km

Loading the vehicle parameters for Prius.

With the default speed of 55mphr, the gradebility is 8.90%

change the default parameters from 55mph to 10, 20,30,40 mph.

Observation after setting different values for the speed.

Greater gradebility percentage is achieved by reducing the velocity of the vehicle.

In any conventional vehicle, reducing the speed is a better choice to overcome the gradient resistance.
