Week-3 Challenge: ADVISOR Tool

Q1)EV_defaults_in file, if cargo mass is 500 kg with all other default conditions, can the vehicle travel for 45 km with FTP drive cycle?

model advisor is a external file download from google and the file location added to a matlab function then command 'advisor' in command window to open a advisor tools

these is vehicle input and i wish to change the cargo mass for 500 and all other parameters are same and click continue button

In above parameters max distance =11.99KM and max speed is 91.25 KMPH

use no of cycles = 4 to reach the 45 Km.

Result:

EV_DEFAULT_IN model only reach the 41.5km when change the battery capacity to reach maximum distance.

Q2)Changing the battery capacity and repeat the simulation.

I increase the battery value for 5 then battery value is 30 % of mod v NOM-370 output of battery is 330

same speed and distance travelled in 1369 sec and use 4 no of cycle

RESULT:

Increase the battery capacity also increase the total distance in these case battery incresed for 5 then vehicle cross the distance for 47.9KM.

Q3)Perform gradeability test with PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in file

these is vehicle input for PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in

when increase the speedi gradeability is decreased

and decrease the speed gradeability is increased.
