Week-3 Challenge: ADVISOR Tool
Aim : To simulate different vehicle conditions and in the end a PRIUS using the ADVISOR tool.
Challenge 1

The Interface of the ADVISOR, already selected EV_defaults_in and have put the cargo mass as 500 kg
STEP 2
Selecting CYC_FTP in drive Cycles and putting No. of cycles as 1
STEP 3

Distance (km) - 17.8
STEP 4
Increasing the No. of Cycles to 2
Gasoline Equivalent - 2.5
Distance (km) - 35.5
Battery About to Exhaust
STEP 5
Increasing the No. of Cycles to 3
Gasoline Equivalent - 2.5
Distance (km) - 41.4
Battery Exhausted, SOC 0
Conclusion - with the given conditions it cannot cover 45Km.
Challenge 2
Here we have to change the battery module (#of mod) alongwith the cycles to get the desired range of 45Km+
Assumed Conditions - 3 cycles each
#of mod - 26 till 45+ km is achieved
All the other parameters are kept constant
#of mod - 26, cycle - 3
Max distance - 42.7 km
#of mod - 27, cycle - 3
Max distance - 44.8 km
#of mod - 28, cycle - 3
Max distance - 46.3 km

Perform gradeability test with PRIUS_Jpn_defaults_in file
