Week 3 - 2D meshing for sheet metal

Import the hood file to the ANSA and give 5 values for Cons resolution by Length option in Mesh module.Use the Topo option cross checked connectivity between the surfaces further surface has been orientated, then check geometry performed each part separately( error occurred fixed). further measured the thickness of the parts and using offset and skin option created the midsurface. I was very comfortable with the skin option it customized.
Before creating the mesh the given conditions for the mesh in mesh parameter and mesh quality criteria give. further created the mesh using the best option. some of the mesh generated i was not convinced further using the reconstruct the surface using cut option and reconstructive option resolve those issues. tri elements are generated in vairus i try to avoid those tri elements using those options split, swap, join and paste after that smooth option used. some time i created the node number increased and the unnecessary cut avoided and some cut created. The hole has been checked using numbers and using the slide option slide to make the hot points. Symmetry option used for the mirror image parts, outer panel, inner panel and latch. somewhere the minimum length was not satisfied and the con has been suppressed. locking the surface helps me to work on some parts.

I have understood the steps to perform 2D meshing TOP and MESH, and some of the import tools and how to work in an efficient manner.
