Q1:- Compare the different architectures of HEV. Discuss the pro's and con's

There are mainly 3 types of HEV Architecture.

• Series Architecture
• Parallel Architecture
• Series Parallel Archeticture

A series Hybrid electric vehicle only uses an electric motor as the propulision source while in the parallel

hybrid electric vehicle mechanically connects the electric motor and internal combustion engine to the

transmission and simultaneously discharges the power to rotate the wheels and in case of series parallel

hybrid electric vehicle archeticture the drivetrain enables the motor and IC engine to rotate the wheels independently.
