Week 2 Challenge : Surface meshing on a Pressure valve
Aim:To remove the geometrical errors, perform topology cleanup ,and mesh on the turbo charge with given target length of 1mm,3mm & 5mm by using volumetric mesh by ansa software.
Objective:To mesh the model by using ansa software tools.using the element size 1mm,3mm and 5mm.
Procedure:
1. first i opean the ansa softare.
2.then in input the model in the into the ansa software.
3.then opean the check manager to check error in the given model.it show me the type of error in the model like single cone,penitration error in the given model.And there is the small crack in the model.
3.then i came to design area and i opean then "topo" mode to cleanup the topology error.
4.In topo mode i select the "new" option. click on it and it show the four option on popup. select the option according to the type of error in the model like fitting, coones,existing surf and planne.
5.according to the type of surface the option on the popup will be selected.
6.if i select the option like the fitting then it ask to select the cones by using lift click of the mouse and to deselect the the selected cone rigth click of the mouse. after selection of cone then middle clicke of the mouse.
7.then it ask to select the type of surface to fill the gap.
8.By this process the single cone errors will be removed.
9.then i opean the option called "PID MANAGER" to creat the pides of the model.
10.it show the option like "36.shell" by rigth click on them go to "apply" option and selcet the model parts related to given name.
11.By double click on the 36. shell it show the anther popup to like rename to it related to the type of part. then i repeat the steps 10,11 untill creat the all pids.
12.then i went to them mesh bar and select the "spot mesh"and anther select the option option "length" of the mesh. then it show the popup and select the option "parameter" and select the model and middle click on it.then give the length of the mesh then click on ok.
13. then repeat the process for the "macron". then go the spot mesh option hold and select the visible option. then it show the mesh on it. the change the mesh has requied mesh length by repeating the process 12 point.
14.The meshing is done by the given target length of 1mm,3mm and 5mm.
Out comes error :
error of concave = but this the curved surface on the the place.
thriple cone erron =there is an triple cone surface on the model.
learning outcomes:
i learn how to correct the single cone error in the give model.
i know the how to creat the pids of the different parts of the model.
result:
hence i done the meshing accordind to the given target length and correct the all error in the model.
