Week 2 Challenge : Surface meshing on a Pressure valve
AIM:For the given model, check for the geometrical errors and perform Topology cleanup accordingly. Set three different target lengths as three different cases and mesh the model.
Target length = 1mm, 3 mm and 5 mm (i.e. 3 cases)
Element type = Tria
Apply any one target length from the above at a time for the entire model as One case. Submit 3 different models for 3 cases
PROCDURE:
1. OPEN THE MODEL FROME CHALLENGE
2. CHECK GEMOTRY CHECK FROM CHECK MANAGER
3. SELECT SINGLE CONS AND THEN ERROR ARE SHOWING IN RED COLOUR AND SINGLE CONS ARE ALSO SHOW IN RED COLOUR
4.CHECK SINGLE CONS BY TURN OFF VISIBLITY TOOL
5. TO REMOVE SINGLE CONS WE NEED TO FILL THE SURFACE BY SELECTING NEW SURFACES FROM FACES (SELECT THE CONS AND SELECT ALL CONS THEN DO MIDLE CLICK THEN THE SURFACE IS COVERD AND TO FILL THE HOLES SELECT FILL THE HOLES FROM CONS AND THEN SELECT CONS AND DO MIDDLE CLICK THEN THE SURFACE IS FILLED )
6. Before meshing reomve all the small surface from the object and also reomve unwanted surface from the object
7. select cut from faces in topo mode (to remove unwanted or small surfaces select cut and select the cons and do the middle click )
8. after reomveing the cut select pdi from manager to asign all pdi for model
9. right click and new>pshell> pshell for new pid then write inlet, outlet, body, spring, columb in place of pshell click on ok
(a) for inlet right click on inlet pid and select apply then select inlet surface and then mddle click
(b) for outlet right click on outlet pid and select apply then select outlet surface and then middle click
(c)for body right click on body pid and select apply then select the outer body by selecting pid region and or after selecting outer body middle click
(d) for spring right click on spring pid and select apply then select spring by hiding inlet outlet and body surface after selecting spring do middle click
(e) for valve head right click on valve head and select apply then select valve head sepratly after selecting valve head do the middle click
(f) for coloum right click on coloum pid and select apply then select the rest cylinder part and do middle click
10. meshing
(A) for larget lenght=5 mm and element type=tria
(1) from mesh peremeters set target length 5mm and element type tria
(2) set min length =3 and maximum length=7 in quality criteria
(3) select length in perimeter then select hole element and middle click insert the lenght 5 mm and same for macros
(4) slect sport mesh from mesh genration and then mesh all element sepratly according to pid section
(a) select the inlet pid from properties and do the middle click
(b) select the outlet pid from properties and do the middle click
(c) select the body pid from properties and do the middle click
(d) select the sprig pid from properties and do the middle click
(e) select the valve head pid from properties and do the middle click
(f) select the coloum pid from properties and do the middle click
(B)for larget lenght=3 mm and element type=tria
(1) from mesh peremeters set target length 3mm and element type tria
(2) set min length =1 and maximum length=5 in quality criteria
(3) select length in perimeter then select hole element and middle click insert the lenght 3 mm and same for macros
(C) for larget lenght=1 mm and element type=tria
(1) from mesh peremeters set target length 1mm and element type tria
(2) set min length =.5 and maximum length=2 in quality criteria
(3) select length in perimeter then select hole element and middle click insert the lenght 1 mm and same for macros
(f) select the coloum pid from properties and do the middle click
outcome :this week i learn how to check single cons, souble cons, and triple cons and how to cover surface using new surface and to define pid
