Week 2 Challenge : Surface meshing on a Pressure valve
Surface Meshing On a Pressure Valve
Aim :-
For the given model, check for the geometrical errors and perform Topology cleanup accordingly. Set three different target lengths as three different cases and mesh the model.
- Target length = 1mm, 3 mm and 5 mm (i.e. 3 cases)
- Element type = Tria
Apply any one target length from the above at a time for the entire model as One case. Submit 3 different models for 3 cases.
Geometry :-

Check Manager errors :-
Checks to be performed on imported geometry and before proceeding with surface meshing

Singles Coons :-
The edges in ANSA are called cons and single cons are highlighted in red color

New Faces :-
creating new faces

Properties :-
properties list for specification of properties and boundary condition

Meshing :-
Target length = 5mm
Element type = Tria
Minimum length = 3mm
Maximum length = 7mm
Length Parameters :-

Mesh Parameters :-

Quality criteria :-

total no.of cells :- 19682

As you can see as we look into the smaller part of geometry the shape is not that sharp and accurate the spring has lost its shape completely
Meshing :-
Target length = 3mm
Element type = Tria
Minimum length = 1mm
Maximum length = 5mm
