Week 2 : Basic Calibration of Single cylinder SI-Engine

Aim: To Perform Basic Calibration of Single cylinder SI-Engine.

1.Run the case at 1800 rpm and list down important parameters

• air flow rate
• BMEP
• BSFC
• In-cylinder pressure

2. Increase the power output at 3600 rpm by 10%

Case 1:

Inlet conditions given:

Pressure: 1bar

Temperature: 300k

Speed: 1800RPM

Case 2:

Increase the power output at 3600 rpm by 10%.

It can be seen by varying the injection delivery rate, Compression Ratio, Bore and Air fuel ratio, power increase of 10% at 3600 rpm can be achieved.
