Challenge

Week -2

AIM:

  • To make a Simulink model of doorbell using solenoid block and create a situation where the switch is closed for 2sec and then released. observe the physical movement of the plunger
  • To use a thermistor to sense the temperature of a heater & turn on or turn off the fan.
  1. Temperature source: 20C from 0 to 10 sec, 27C from 10 to 30 sec, 23C from 30 to 50 sec.
  2. Fan condition: ON if the temperature above 25C, OFF otherwise

doorbell simulink model:

procedure:

  1. pulse generator used to give the input of the circuit
  2. Simulink-ps converter used to convert to physical signal to switch
  3. the battery unit gives the power supply of the total circuit
  4. A solenoid is a device comprised of a coil of wire, the housing, and a moveable plunger (armature). When an electrical current is introduced, a magnetic field forms around the coil which draws the plunger in. More simply, a solenoid converts electrical energy into mechanical work.
  5. motion sensor to sens the solenoid and output have given to the scope

output:

thermistor simulink block:

procedure:

  1. signal builder to give the input signal to thermistor through controlled temperature source
  2. voltage sensor to sense the voltage across the resistor
  3. the switch to set our the condition
  4. the output to show the scope

input:

output:
