Week 12 - Validation studies of Symmetry BC vs Wedge BC in OpenFOAM vs Analytical H.P equation
- Validation of Hydro-dynamic length with the numerical result / Validate maximum velocity and pressured drop for fully developed flow / Post-processing Shear stress and validating wall shear stress for fully developed flow:
wedge* angle=10 :

symmetry* angle=10 :

wedge* angle=25 :

symmetry* angle=25 :

wedge* angle=45 :

symmetry* angle=45 :

as we notice there is no difference in pressure drop, maximum velocity, shear stress between all the cases so every one of them is validated.
There is the code :

There is difference just due to the angle which gives a maximum radium more & more shorter
So there is no difference between thes two kinds of boundary
