Week 11:- 2D Detailing Challenge 2
clamp units 2D design
clamp units layout 2 D sheets.
clamp unit layout sheet mainly consists of the 2D isometric and orthographic views of the parts which are generally used for the purpose of getting the layout and also the required BOM creation of the assembly.
the clamp units are also used for clamping the welding assembly properly in order to hold it.
The steps in creation of the layout are.
1.selecting the unit in separate window.
the window is separately selected from assembly to part window.
2.drafting the unit in 2 D window.
the unit is drafted in the view properly and the unit is taken to drafting window.
3.orthograohic views of the units.
the orthographic views of the window is selected properly and the required views in first angle or third angle projection is selected fom window.
4.Template creation.
the template is creation from the catia library for the purpose of the drafting view it has the info related to part no the unit no company information and other details of the view.
5.dimension info of the unit.
it has info related to the dimensions of the unit.
6.info related to welding and manufacturing details.
it has info related to geometric characteristics, hardness requirement, manufacturing details and fits details so the subassemblies.
2 D drafting of the individual child parts of the unit.
it mainly contains the drafting of the individual units of the clamping parts.
the units has lots of the minute details like the individual unts of the clamping parts like the following.
mylers, blades ,cylinders and base units ad risers the steps taken are as folows.
1.individual opening of the child parts of the units.
the individual child parts are opened in a separate window.
the individual child parts are opened in separate window.
2.2d drafting environment of the child parts.
the child parts are individually opened in subassemblies.\
3.orthographic and isometric views of the child parts
the individual child parts orthographic and isometric views are created separately according to the requirements.
4.dimensioning of the child parts.
the child parts are diensoned individually so the purpose of the asembly.
and manufacturing.
5.manufacturing requirements of the individual parts.
the individual parts have the requirements of the surface finish, hardness requirements, tolerances requirements, hardware requirements and other feature based constraints.
