the 3d model has the undercuts in it and the undercuts are to be properly catched so the easy removal and facilitation of mold design is possible.

the sliders are generally used for the design of job and to catch under cut .

steps for slider design in mold are generally as follows.

1.creating slider for mate surface according to profile using split surface command to cut the body according to profile generally required .

2.creating the plane and sketch according to requirement.

3.new split body will be created in core body and editing it.

4.for editing the slider body save it in different part file for editing purpose.

5.save it in parasolid format.

6. import the slider file for creating subsequent cuts in core and cavity bodies.

7.design guide rail for slider movement and undercuts are provided to slider according to guide rail.

8.the guide rails are bolted to core body.

9.and guide rails undercuts and bolts and washer undercut are also considered while designing the core and cavity.

10.while doing it in asembly environment certain part bodies are created and saved independantly for further combine purpose.

11.part file editing in new environment we take original coordinate system and also editing moves from previously created parts.
