Week 12 Challenge

In these assignment the system designed are asfollows

Ejection system=the use of ejection system is to eject the part after molding process the part is ejected with help of ejector pin which are joined to ejector plate and are actuated with help of certain mechanism .

ejector pin=ejector pins are joined to the ejector plate and they are in various sizes and shapes according to the equirement the various shapes are generally D shaped ,round and taper.ejector pin selection is done according to the part requirement .the ejector location has to be proper and precise for proper ejection.

ejector plate= The ejector pin are joined to the ejector plate and ejector plate is actuated by the actuator.the ejector plate is placed between the spacer blocks.the ejector plate is joined to ejector back plate with help of bolting and fasteners.

The runner and gate system are the part of feed system

sprue=Sprue is the inlet channel to carrythe molten plastic from the nozzle to the runner .It is tapered section and the designed is standarised to avoid the eddies and removal of the part.the sprue is provided by certain draft. of 3.5 to 7 degrees.

runner=The runners are designed in such way that the runners are joined to the sprue .the size of runner are various round,parabolic or square and tepezoidal in shape.

edge gate=The gate the last element of feed system and they are of various types like the edge gate,submarine gate,cashew gate ,tab gate ,edge gate etc in these some are of types of autogated system.

Air vents=air vents are generally provided in the mold for passage of air from the mold so that the trapped air is easily vented out if the air gets trapped .it can cause defects in the mold .the certain areas where the vents are provided .the vents are provided in a way that the trapped air is easily removed and the molten plastic does not get affected.

cooling channels=the cooling channels are provided for the purpose of coling
