Week - 10 Hyperelastic Material Models

Aim:Calculate the Mooney Rivlin and Ogden material constants and compare the both using stress-strain data from a Dogbone specimen tensile test with 100 percent strain for the given material data.

Procedure:

1)To calculate the material contants, the given data has to be assigned to the material card.

2)Based on different order of polynomials (i.e, 1,2 and 3) we obtain different material constants.

3)To understand the which material constant fits the best for the given materials, compare the simulated data with the raw data.

4)Finally, assign the material constant to the material card and observe the stress and strain behaviour of the material.

Conclusion:

From the above data plot, it can concluded that the Hyperelastic material card (*MAT_077) best fits the given data curve.

2)Below are the results of tensile test specimen using *MAT_077 assigned with the material constants.
