Week 10 - Challenge 1- Attachment Feature Creation (Ribs & Screw Boss)
Create the Screw boss for the Drill Handle considering the design rules.
General Guidelines for Bosses:
- Draft - 0.5 degrees on the walls of boss
- Thickness - Typically 40%* of the nominal wall at the base.
- Height to Diameter Ratio - 3:1
- Radii - 0.25mm maximum radii.

Tooling Direction & Draft Analysis:
Create a Tooling Axis to manufacture the part. Tooling direction ensures the proper ejection of the part. Perform Draft analysis by aligning the compass to the tooling axis. Give a minimum draft angle of 0.5 degrees. If the Surface color change to green then the draft angle is more than 0.5 degree. Once the draft analysis is done then create B and C Surface. Also, create back features and perform draft analysis with the complete part. Ensure, to give the draft in the correct direction by taking a preview. If the material is cutting then the chosen direction is correct. Check edges carefully, if draft angle is less than 0.5 degrees then extrude the walls of the part in the direction of the tooling axis and give an angle of 0.5 degrees. Again do draft analysis and check whether it is 0.5degreeIn this way, you can perform the draft analysis.
