Week 10 - Challenge 1- Attachment Feature Creation (Ribs & Screw Boss)

CHALLENGE:Create the rib for the Drill Handle considering the design rules mentioned in the video.

CLASS A SURFACE

Join the suraface & check any gaps & closed boundry.

TOOLING AXIS

Tooling axis created at one of the edge center, by creating a point in center of the surface & create a line.

DRAFT ANALYSIS OF CLASSS A SURFACE

CLASS B SURFACE

Created an offset of 2.5 mm (thickness) , created the boundry & extapolate the edges.

CLASS C SURFACE

Create sweep from the edges from class A surface by giving a draft of 3^o , extrapolate the edges & trim the extending surface.

Join the Class C & A

RIBS

Ribs created using the desing rules, add the ribs to main part using Boolean operation.

Rib root Diameter

Create a intersect between the body & plane in YZ axis and circle below the rib using tritangent circle.

SCREW BOSS

Created an extract in between the ribs & created the circles then pad the cicles to form the screw boss & give draft and fillet the add the screw boss to main body.
