Week 10 Bullet penetrating a Bucket Challenge
Bullet penetrating a Bucket
Objective:
To simulate a bullet penetrating into a bucket. You will need to use 3 different nonlinear materials for the bucket and analyse their behaviour for the same velocity as a bullet. Apply the conditions for bullets as mentioned in the video itself. Upload animation files to show the behaviour in the three cases.

Analysis Setup:
As we are dealing with explicit dynamics, we will be taking into consideration only time and mesh and body reference to be frictionless we will not be considering the joints and contacts in explicit dynamics. Hence in this case we are considering end time to be 0.01 and mesh size is set to be 10mm.
To perform the analysis chosen bucket to be a fixed joint and gave a velocity of 139 m/s to the bullet.
Performed on this simulation on three different non linear materials to study the behaviour of the material when bullet strikes and passes out of the bucket while the bullet is made of tantalum material.

Conclusion:
From the results, we can see that Total deformation is the same with all the three materials chosen.
From the equivalent stress, we can prefer the structural steel NL as it can withstand a higher equivalent than the other two materials.
In regular practice materials like Kevlar is used as bullet-proofing, which resists the bullet easily and is also light in weight.
The main objective of this study is to find the material for damage reduction and deviation of the bullet.
