Assembly workbench

Aim :

To create the assemblies according to the given 2D Drawings create the parts and then assemble them together. And create the Drafting for each parts.

Objective :

• Create the parts with the given 2D Drawing and assemble them together.
• Create the Drafting for the each parts.

Given :

1. Quick Return Mechanism (parts 2D - Drawing)
2. CV Joint (parts 2D - Drawing)

Parts creation :

From the given 2D Drawing we create the parts first for that first open CATIA V5 and from that click file>New and then another box will open from that select part as shown in figure.

After that next give the file name as required as shown in figure.

The next step is to create the assemble for the quick return mechanism for the open the new file by clicking File>New>Product and in the new file bring the part file required for assembly and using the move and contrains tools assembly is done.

Drafting :

The Drafting is the creating the 2D Drawing for the 3D soild part we create and give the correct dimesions for the 2D different projection view is called Drafting. This Drafting is next give to the Production team for Produce the part by CNC machines by using the required dimensions given in the 2D Drawings.

Hence the assemblies according to the given 2D Drawings the parts are created and then assembled them together. And Drafting for each parts created as .CATDrwing format and also as .Pdf format also created successfully.
