4) Embed both architecture and structure *.nwc file to your Navisworks file. Create a clash detection test between the two models
a. Run the Clash Detection Test
b. Study the clashes between the two models
c. List which of the clashes could be approved
d. List which of the clashes could be neglected ( will be taken care later)

f. Save the results after color coding the clashes to the Navisworks file
g. In case of resolution annotate the clash and save the view to defined views in Navisworks

Answer:

Aim: To import both Architectural and structural file using navisworks file,

a. Run the Clash Detection Test
b. Study the clashes between the two models
c. List which of the clashes could be approved
d. List which of the clashes could be neglected ( will be taken care later)
e. List which of the clashes can be resolved
f. Save the results after color coding the clashes to the Navisworks file
g. In case of resolution annotate the clash and save the view to defined views in Navisworks

Procedure:

Just open navisworks model, which has already imported NWC Architectural file, now import structural file.

click on home tab -> click on append -> choose the structural file model -> click open -> click ok

5) Using the Timeliner feature in Navisworks prepare a schedule for the project developed in week 6 to 8 by adding reasonable assumptions for task start date and end date and simulate the task completion as a visual simulation. Record it and save the timeline simulation to Navisworks file

Answer:

Aim: To use timeliner feature in Navisworks and prepare a schedule and finally simulate the task completion as a visual simulation and to record and save the timeliner simulation to navisworks file.

Procedure:

Open the Navisworks model -> click on home tab -> click on timeliner -> click on the selection tree (to assign all the tasks in a schedule).

Each time adding tasks click on attach the current selection.

Simillary repeat the same procedure for all the remaing task to create a schedule.

TO SEE THE ANIMATED VIDEO OF THE SCHEDULED TASKS

Click on simulate -> click on the option play.

TO SAVE THIS ANIMATED SCHEDULED VIDEO

Click on animation export -> choose the format as window AVI -> source as timeliner -> mention width and depth -> click ok -> choose the destination folder and rename the file -> finallay click OK
