Usage of Navigation tool , Timeliner and Clash Detection test using Naviswork

1)  AIM:

To use the architecture/structural project file developed from week 6-8, Export the Revit file to Navisworks cache file.

TOOLS/COMMANDS USED :

  • Architectural file.
  • file.
  • Open
  • Export.
  • NWC.
  • Navisworks.
  • View.
  •  3D view.

PROCEDURE :

1.open the revit software

then these plan is export to nwc for that go to file export click nwc

exporting work gets finished, Now open Navisworks software and click on open tool from the file menu.open navis 11

now open the architectral file

similarly export the structural file for that open structural file

then open file click export and click on navis save as navis structur

the file is saved in document

for open the structure model open navis go to file open wk 7 str navis

now the file is open

2.

AIM:

Use navigate tool to walk around the model and walk through the rooms cheated and record the moving as animation in the Navisworks file.

TOOLS USED :

  • Architecture file.
  • Navisworks.
  • Viewpoint.
  • save viewpoint.
  • Walk.
  • Record.
  • Stop.
  • Arrow keys for movement.

PROCEDURE

FIRST OPEN NAVIS WORK MANAGE THEN CLICK FILE OPTION THEN CLICK OPEN THEN OPEN THE ARCHITECTURAL NAVIS FILE

WALK THROUGH THESE MODEL AND RECODE THE WALK THROUGH FOR THAT FIRST SCROL FOR GO INSIDE THE BUILDING

THEN WALK THROUGH USING OPTION FOR TAHT GO VIEW POINT CLICK ON WALK.

USING CURSOR  JUST WALK THROUGH THE BUILDING

THEN IF WANT TO RECODE WALK GO SAVE VIEW POINT AND RENAME THE VIEW.

for opening the recoding go to animation  and click on play

for exporting these animation video go to animation click on export animation

saved views can be seen in right side

3)   Use Navigate tool to use Realism feature to walk through the model and record your moving as animation in Navisworks file.

 AIM:

To use navigate tool to use the realistic feature to walk through the model and record our movings as animation in navisworks file.

TOOLS USED :

  • Navisworks.
  • Viewpoint.
  • Save view point.
  • Walk.
  • Record.
  • Stop.
  • Arrow keys for movement.

PROCEDURE :

  1. the architecture file which we want to export to the Navisworks is to be opened.similar to 2nd question
  2. Then click on viewpoint tool and followed by selecting  save view point option.first go inside the room then click on realism and click on third person

then go to walk option and go to save views and click on recodings

AFTER recoding stop the recoding and the views can be seen in right side.and the video can be play by go to animation and click on play

these video save in our system by  export the video

RESULT :

with the help of Navigation tool, we have used realistic feature to walk through the model and recorded our movings as animation in Naviswork file.

4)  Embed both architecture and structure *.nwc file to your Navisworks file. Create a clash detection test between the two models

  1. Run the Clash Detection Test
  2. Study the clashes between the two models
  3. List which of the clashes could be approved
  4. List which of the clashes could be neglected ( will be taken care later)
  5. List which of the clashes can be resolved
  6. Save the results after color coding the clashes to the Navisworks file
  7. In case of resolution annotate the clash and save the view to defined views in Navisworks.

 AIM:

To create a clash detection test between the architectural and structural model.

              a. Run the Clash Detection Test
              b. Study the clashes between the two models
              c. List which of the clashes could be approved
              d. List which of the clashes could be neglected ( will be taken care later)
              e. List which of the clashes can be resolved
              f. Save the results after color-coding the clashes to the Navisworks file
              g. In case of resolution annotate the clash and save the view to defined views in Navisworks.

TOOLS USED :

  • Open.
  • architecture file
  • home
  • add test
  • Append.
  • Clash detection.
  • clash detection dialog box
  • Run test.

PROCEDURE :

first open the architectural file already we created

  1. then open the structural model to import the navis work for that go to append tool .append tool can be used to import one more file open

then click on clash detective in the home tab.then a dialogue box is appear

click on add test and give the test name as demo test then select the  section 1 as architectural and section 2 as structural drawing

then click on run test

provide status of any clshes  click any one of the clash under the status column drop down and selec reviewed

when we click on the clashes  which show in display in red colour

all the  clashes are seelcted and resolved

c)

clashes can be approved  as part of the construction, these clashes will not appear anymore.  it turns into green colour once we click approve

d)

the clashes which will not cause any disturbance to the project can be neglected.

e)

clashes can be resolved which can change model boundary conditions, these clashes can be excluded from the detective test.

f)

Once we change all the clashes we can save the Navisworks file. Now, this file is ready and can be sent for review.

g)

we can annotate and save the place where we can clash are visible and is viewed personally and will be rectified by the design engineer.

RESULT :

we have successfully performed the clash detection test where we can resolve the problems and send the file to the design engineer for corrections.

5)

A)

AIM:

using the Timeliner feature in Navisworks we can prepare a schedule for the project by adding reasonable assumptions like taks start and end date and simulate the task.

TOOLS USED :

  • Home.
  • Navisworks
  • Timeliner dialog box
  • simulate
  • Timeliner.
  • Add task.
  • Selection tree.

PROCEDURE :

  1. open the Navisworks .i alredy imported the navis work

for make shedule option click on the time liner in home tab

then it shows time liner tools

befor go to add task first go to selection tree option

then click on add task and rename the task as ground floor

first task name date are type

similarly next tasks enterd

planned date actual date are entered.and thre is option  attach click there and click case work and attach current

similarly attache column and door fittings

all the sections are selected and attached as per the selection tree

after completing the shedule  we can see the animation video  by click simulate button then click on play then it will show the animated video as per shedule

The simulation begins and we can see the construction from the starting date to ending date in the form of video.

v

for saving the video.click on export animation

click ok

.

RESULT :

we have  used timeliner feature in navisworks to prepare a schedule for the project developed in previous weeks and added some reasonable assumptions for the task like start date and end date and simulated the task completion as a visual simulation and saved the timeliner simulation to Navisworks file
