UNDER-BODY COATING
Definition:
As a vehicle sustains damages from everyday wear and tear, it becomes more unprotected from corrosion and rust from sand, water, pebbles in road ways. So under coating is need for vehicle, the undercoating is form of layer for protection under carriage in vehicle or car. It prevents the under parts of car such as tank, suspension parts, exhaust pipes, and etc components from rust and erosion. Under coating will prevent the further damages.

- Water based method
- petroleum underbody coating
- polyurathane mehtod
- Rubberid mehtod
- Asphalt under body coating method
Purpose:
- Chipping improvement the rust proof.
- Preventing the entering water, dust, under carriage in vehicle.
Pros of underbody- coating:
- Vehicle is protected from rust and corrosion.
- Undercoating do reduce the road noise.
Cons of underbody coating:
- It is less helpful if corrosion is already present.
- It is add to vehicle weight.
- An under coating is not impervious damage.
- It works best on new vehicles.
