AUTOMOTIVE UNDER BODY COATING:-

Under side the vehical serve as the intermediate between the metal component of the vehical and the outer environment .under body of the vehical protect the from the damage due to the harsh environmental conditions. the coating are applied to the under side vehical the protect them against factors such as corosions,moisture ,water damage and chipping the under body of the vehical automotive under body offer a protectev layer to the vehical underside.most of these coating provide a chemical and corrosion resistence. Along with several the other properties bassed on differnt product formulation. the protection of under body and wheel arch against chipdamge acchieved by the applied coating of automotive under body.which protect the metal from the debris of gravel and stones salt etc and tossed by the road.

Coating process of the vehical body compries minimum of five layer of paint, while the under body coating process comprise the first two layers in overall coating process.these two layer provide the protection against the corrosion layer .however damage over time require renewal of these coating.

Elasticity of polymer used in automotive under body allows for low noise when stuck by the road debris.

DIFFERENT TYPE OF UNDERBODY COATING:-

1.Rubberised Undercoating:-It cushions surface against chips and moisture rust , dings and dents

2.Wax bassed underbody coating :-

wax based underbody puts up a big fight against moisture . it is also the most affordable option out of all .

3.Asphalt Based Automotive Underbody:-This is best suited for lorries, truks and large vehicals this provides a greater degree of protection

compaired to rubber bassed coating .however ,asphalt bassed coating contains. a little amount of rubber for sound-insulation purpose .the process of applying this coating is bit time-consuming though.

4.Polyurethane underbody coating :-

This coating closes up splits and fractures in the underbody of the vehicle . it offers up good protection against corrosion and also bond with the metal

unlike in the case of asphalt -based coating . you can paint over the polurethane coating.

Different method of undercoating:-

1.Spray:-

The spray is the most common method used by dealers. the spray consist of tar- like substance that is applied to the undercarriage .it function as a barrier for salt, moisture and oxygen which cauese corrosion

2.Electronic:-

Removing the electric current capacity of items underneath the vehical is another method for applying to undercoat. a week electric current circulates through the material, reducing the chances of rusting.
