Tool Test-2
AIM: For the given Intake Manifold component, check for the geometrical errors and mesh the Surfaces with the given 2D element Quality criteria
Quality Criteria :

Principle:
The function of the intake manifold is to supply the intake charge to all the cylinders of the engine in equal proportion. It is connected between the carburetor/ throttling body and the cylinder head. Depending on the number of cylinders the construction of the intake manifold is different.
The intake manifold is the major part of an engine that consists of cast iron or aluminum. As aluminum has the advantage of being lightweight it is generally preferred to cast the intake manifold. Currently, it is also made up of composite materials.

Procedure:
Load the Model into the ANSA Software
Perform TOPO on the Model

Once the TOPO is done the model is to be checked for geometrical errors by using the check manager. If errors are present in the Model It has to be rectified either by the Manual Method or by using the Auto Fix function

Once the Model is free from Geometrical errors then meshing can be done on the model
Quality criteria are to be Given
For 3D Meshing

For 2D Meshing

Since the Model is complicated Meshing is done by separating the Parts

Meshing is done Separately for the intakes

Meshing for the Main Manifold
Once the Meshing of the Model is completed and the necessary Quality Criteria are satisfied. 3D Volume Meshing Can be Done

(Final Model after Meshing)

(Cross section of the Model)
