To Design slab and foundation for an RC residential building using TSD

1)

Aim: To design the slab and foundation of the model

Procedure -

Step 1)

i) Open the previos Model where we have designed column beam .

ii) Again Run the 1st order analysis

iii) But Before that change the following properties of slab.

iv) Click on 1st order Analysis - Result View

Step 2)

i) Select the any slab and Right Click on it.

ii) Click on Check Panel

iii) Check the Design i.e Reinforcement at bottom and Top

iv) Here we can see that Slab 12 is passed . So no need to change the property of slab.

v) Similarly Follow the same procedure for other members also

3D view -

Step 3) Design of Foundation -

i) Once the slab is designed

ii) Now we have to design the Footing

iii) Click on Foundation - Click on Catalogue

iv) A following dialog box will appear

v) Click on Add

vi) Add the following details

vii) and Click on Okay.

viii) Now Click on Foundation - Pile Cap Column - and Select the column

ix) Again Check the model and Analyze the model.

x) Now right click on pile cap and Check the design

xi) If member is failed in shear increase the depth of footing.

xii) As we can see that PC 1 and PC 2 are passed. Similarly we can design remaining members also.

Result -

i) The pile foundation is analyzed and designed for model .
