To Design RC column and beam for RC residential structure using TSD
1Q. Based on the analysis design RC column and Beam.
Answer:
Following the application of all loading types and the completion of the entire structure in TSD.
To determine whether the structure is safe for each loading, analysis is done for each individual component.
Beginning with individual elements, the analysis verifies that there are no shear, axial, or bending moments that could cause the element to fail.
We give reinforcement in accordance with the requirements in conformity with IS standards in order to counteract these aforementioned inner reactions of the individual elements.
The specific components that need to be fulfilled are:
1. Columns
2. Beams
In TSD, the elements are verified by comparing the element size to the ratio for reinforcement in the main bars, dispersed bars, and stirrups.
For any individual element to pass, the ratio must be smaller than 1.
Analysis of Columns:
There are three steps involved.
Columns on various load combinations undergo first order linear analysis.
Identify the unsuccessful columns based on the analysis.
Redesign the columns to include the necessary reinforcing.

Beam Analysis:
Just like columns, there are three steps involved.
First-order linear analysis is carried out on the beams under various load scenarios.
Identify the faulty beams based on the analysis.
Reinforce the beams as needed by redesigning them.
