To calculate wind load for industrial steel structures and to apply it by using TSD

1. After modelling, Define the Load Cases under Load Tab based on the requirements or susceptibility of the structure during its service life.

2. Apply the Wind Load from the Wind Wizard Tab and fill the details/ input required as per our Codal Provisions IS 875: Part3.

3. Fulfill all the Details given below in the screenshot which might be changing from site to Site.

4. Select Terrain Category 2 as per clause 6.3.2.1 of IS 875:2015 part 3 on page no. 7.

4. Above details are mentioned in Annexure 3 of IS 875:2015 part3.

Fetch Length is taken to be 5 Km in case suitabe topographic data is not available at the site.

Calculation of Topography factor(k3) is done by considering the Upwind slope of 18 degree.
