Creation of geometries by Coordinate system methods using AutoCad

AIM: Create the geometries as mentioned above using the Line Command by following the any of the Coordinate system i.e. Either Relative Coordinate System or Absolute Coordinate System.

Draw the Civil Related Drawing using any of the Coordinate System .

INTRODUCTION: IN following Drawings, firstly coordinate are located using Draw Toolbar by selecting the "Multiple point " options through Absolute Coordinate System and then points are joined using the line command in the Draw Toolbar.

PROCEDURE:

  1. Firstly, Origin is predefined as per the requirement Using the UCS command option or by using View option, followed by UCS icon mentioned in the toolbar.
  2. Define the Units used in the drawing using 'UN" command option keeping in mind the precision requirement.
  3. After defining the Origin, select the "Multiple point" option given in the Draw toolbar.
  4. Points are defined either by Absolute or by Relative Coordinate system. In this challenge, i have used absolute coordinate system.
  5. After giving the input related to coordinate of drawings, use "line" command to join the defined points as per mentioned in the assignment.
  6. After Joining the Coordinate using the Line Command, we have to give the dimensions using "Dimlinear" command or by using the dimensions options mentioned in the "HOME" Options.
  7. After Giving the dimensions to the every component of the Drawing, we have to do the settings RELATED to text, arrows& lines etc. using Annotate Command given in the top toolbar.
  8. we can either define the Newstyle or modify the settings for making the Data as a Nector to the reader.
  9. After defining the various settings , we may further change the specified setting by double clicking on the specified element followed by modifying the properties as given in the Properties popup window.
  10. After giving the dimensions & labelling to the drawing, we may proceed to take a printout on a layout on different paper sizes as per the requirements.
  11. For taking the Printout on a Drawing sheet, Select the File option and then select print option from the Drop Down menu list.
  12. Modify the settings as per the needs, it is preferred to use the "WINDOW" option to take a print out given in the pop up window.
  13. After taking the printout, it is necessary to save the drawing in the presecured folder to get an access in the future.

RESULT:

Drawings are attached here along with the following settings:

1. Text : Arial command , height of text= 0.1 cm,

2. LINES & ARROWS:

Dimensions line: lineweight type- bylayer, Line colour- RED,

Extension line: lineweight type- dotted line, line colour- magneta

3. PRIMARY UNITS:

Decimal type with precision of '0" only except in drawings named with purely alphabetical order.

civil drawings i.e. truss drawing are given the precision of '0.000".
