Switch Bezel Design Week 8 Challenge

AIM:To generate the Draft Analysis for the given Switch bezel model.

PROCEDURE:

CREATING TOOLING AXIS:

1.Find the tooling direction. Of the switch bezel.this part had only 3 walls.

2.Extract the base surface and create point on the surface. Insert the axis system

3.Creating intersection on the YZ plane.than create bisecting line

4.take cut section of the class A surface and interesting on ZX plane. And create dummy tooling axis.

5.creating the TOOLING AXIS with using above 2 dummy tooling axis.than publish the tooling axis.

CREATING B SURFACE:

6.Extract the bezel rest surface and walls.

7.Untrim the extract surfaces

8.extrpolate the surfaces with 50mm dimension.

9.Base surface also extract and untrim and extrapolate.

10.than will offset the 3mm of the thickness each surface.and trin the surfaces and will get B surface.

GIVING EDGE FILLETES: radius of the class A surface edges.and give the 14-3 value edges on the B surface

CREATING C SURFACE:

12.giving the boundary of class A Surface with using multiple extract

13.sweep the boundaries of Extract 1 and extract 2

14.using the smooth curve on boundaries for better boundaries.

15.join the class A and B surface . ann trim the surfaces

16.going to part design and fill the surface

DRAFT ANALYSIS:

17.Open the Draft analysis by Insert > Analysis > Feature Draft Analysis.

18.Select the Compass - Direction in Draft Analysis and align it to the Tooling Axis and then lock it

19.After locking it a cross symbol will occur at the pointer,select the surface and the surface selected turns into green.

20.In Draft Analysis 2 box,select the green column to change the draft angle to 2.9 degrees.

21.The color should be green in colour above the angle 3 degrees. at angle between o to 2.9. And the color should be in blue . negative angle shows the red color.

RESULT:

Generated the Draft Analysis for the given Switch bezel model.
