Structural dynamics
Q1-
In static analysis,we consider loads dont induce acceleration in the building but in dynamic analysis acceleration occurs.
Q2-
a) under application of the loads body deforms but regains its original shape as load is removed, load dispalcement graph follows linear path. These material follows hooks law.
b) Body do not regain its shape after removal of load.
c) under no change in applied load, deformation continously increases in body is called plastic behaviour
d) When load verses deformation curve have non linear behaviour and there is residual deformation in the body after removing the load, this is called non-linear inelastic behavior
Q3
Mx''+Cx'+Kx=F(t)
M- mass of the vibrating body
C- damping of the system consisting the body
K- stiffness of the body
Q4
Natural period(T)- time period in which body completes its one cycle of vibration under free vibration. And it depends on mass and stiffness
Natural frequency(F)- No. of oscillastion under free vibration per unit time.
T=1/F
Q5
It is the plot between maximum response of the single degree of freedom system having same percentage of dapming, and natural time period of vibration.
It is made with analysis of the past earthquakes at a particular site and taking their responses.
