Sketch a G+1 residential plan according to Vaastu Shastra and Calculation of Loads as per IS code

AIM: Planning of G+1 Residential Building according to Vastu shastra.

Introduction:

The drawing consist of a residential Building with Ground and First Floor Plan in this Building there are two stories consist of 2 bedroom1, 1 Hall, 2 bathrooms, and Kitchen and Staircase.

The Structural drawings should be given as listed below,

  1. Column layout with reinforcement.
  2. Footing layout with reinforcement.
  3. Plinth Beam layout with reinforcement.
  4. Ground Floor layout with reinforcement.
  5. First Floor layout with reinforcement.
  6. Slab Detail with reinforcement.
  7. Staircase and Head Room Detail with reinforcement.

Loads To be Calculated are as follows,

Floor Height be 3.2 m

Column C1 = 0.23x0.3, (7 No.)

Column C2 = 0.23x0.38, (5 No.)

All Beam B1 = 0.23x0.38

Slab thickness = 125 mm

Dead Load Calculation

  • Self Weight of Column C1 be = 0.23x0.3x3.2x7x25 =38.5 kN
  • Self Weight of Column C1 be = 0.23x0.38x3.2x5x25 =34.75 kN
  • Self Wt of Beam =0.23x0.38 =2.18 kN/m
  • Self Wt of Wall for 0.23 wall = 0.23x3.2x19 = 13.94 kN/m
  • Self Wt of Wall for 0.115 wall = 0.115x3.2x19 = 6 kN/m
  • Self Wt of Slab = 0.125x25 =3.125 kN/M^2

Live Load Calculation:

For Residential Building Let us Consider 3 kN/m^2. (From IS 875, Part III).

Let us not to consider wind load as wind load usually consider the Building above 10m Height but This case building is 6.4 m hence Ok.

Earthquake Load Calculation:

Zones can be identified from map provided in IS Code (IS 1893:2016 (part-I)

and the load is calulated as per formula.
