Sketch a G+1 residential plan according to Vaastu Shastra and Calculation of Loads as per IS code

1. Columns are provided at all the corners of the building. Specify the assumed size of the rooms. (30 marks)
- All columns are 300mm x 300mm
- All beams are 300mm x 450mm
- Slab thickness if 125mm
- The height of the wall is 4.5m

) TO CALCULATE THE DEAD LOAD OF COLUMN FOR GIVEN DIMENSIONS.

V=.45*.45*4.5=.911M3

THE UN.WT OF RCC STRUCTURAL MEMBER = 2500KG/M3.

SO DEAD LOAD = 0.911*2500=2,278.13KG.

2)AS THE LENGTH OF WALL NOT GIVEN WE CAN ASSUME IT AS.

L=1METRE.

WE TAKE B= 9" WALL =0.23METRE.

HT=4METRE

THE UT.WT OF BRICK MASONRY IS 1900 KG/M3.

DEAD LOAD =1*0.23*4*1900=1748KG ON BEAM.

3)

TO CALCULATE SELF WEIGHT OF SLAB FOR GIVEN DIMENSIONS.

V = 4*4*0.25 =4M3

UT.WT. OF RCC=2500KG/M3.

SELF WT = 2500*4=10000KG.

5)WE CALCULATE FOR 1METRE LENGTH

C1(500*500): 0.5*0.5*2500*1=625KG

C2(600*600) : 0.6*0.6*2500*1=900KG

C3(300*600) : 0.3*0.6*2500*1=450KG

B1(200*500) : 0.2*0.5*2500*1=250KG

B2(300*600) : 0.3*0.6*2500*1=450KG
