Aim: Sketch a G+1 floor residential plan, according to Vaastu Shastra, and list down the names of the structural drawings required to be provided to the site for construction.
Also, assume the sizes of the structural elements (Column, Beam, Slab, etc.,) and accordingly calculate the individual corresponding loads from the members as per IS code.

Size of the column (230x230)= (0.23x0.23)
let, column height G+1= 6m
Unit weight of column = 25 kN/m^3
volume of the column = (0.23x0.23x6) = 0.317 m^3
Self weight of a column = ( 0.317x25) = 7.935 kN
Total no. of colunm = 14
For 14 column
self weight = 111.09 kN
Size of the beam (230x300) = (0.23x0.3)
Unit wieght of beam = 25kN/m^3
self wieght of beam = (0.23x0.3x25) = 1.725 kN/m
For wall:
Unit weight of wall = 20 kN / m^3
heigh of walls = hieght of column = 6m
let, width of wall = 230mm = 0.23m
Self weigth of wall = (6x 0.23x20) = 27.6 kN/m
For slab:
Total Area of the slab G+1 = 139.16 m^2
Thickness of slab = 125mm = .125m
Volume of slab = 139.16x .125 = 17.4 m^3
Unit weight of slab = 25kN/m^3
Self weight of slab = 17.4x25 = 435 kN
Ground floor:
For bedroom:
Area of bedroom = (3.860mx3.15m) =12.16 m^2
UDL for bedroom = 2kN/m^2
The live load of bedroom = 12.16x2 = 24.32 kN
For Kitchen:
Area of kitchen = 2.59mx 2.44m = 6.32 m^2
UDL for kitchen = 3 kN/m^2
Live load of kitchen = 6.32x3 = 18.96 kN
For Dining:
Area of dining = 3.2m x 3.05m = 9.76 m^2
UDL for dining = 2 kN/ m^2
Live load of dining = 9.76 x 2 = 19.52 kN
For Toilet:
Area of toilet = 1.93m x 1.22m = 2.35 m^2
UDL of toilet = 2kN/m^2
Live load of toilet = 2.35 x 2 = 4.7 kN
Similary, we can calculated load for the first floor.
