AIM-
Sketch a G +1 floor residential building according to Vaastu sastra and the names of the structural drawings required to be provided to the site for construction and the sizes of the structural elements (Column, Beam, Slab, etc.) calculated the individual corresponding loads from the members as per IS code 875 part 1 & 2
INRODUCTION-
As I drawn the G+1 residential building as per Vaastu sastra based upon those structural drawings.
And Load calculation of the structural member i.e., column beam slab etc. all dimensions of drawing is in MM. drawings to be required for the construction of the building-
1. General Notes
2. Column and Beam Layout
3. Architecture Plan (all type of plans include)
4. Structural Plan (all type of rebar detail includes)
5. Section
6. Elevation
PROCEDURE-
Dimensions of Ground Floor-
Plot area :13m x 9m
Built-up area :11.16m x 8m
Living room : 3m x 3m
Parking area : 4.415m x 4m
Dining room : 4.415m x 4.45m
Kitchen area :3m x 3m
Stair case : 3.125m x 2m
Bed room : 4.415m x 4m
Attach toilet & bath : 1m x 3m
Common toilet & bath : 1.2m x 3m
Dimensions of First Floor-
Built-up area : 11.16m x 8m
Master bed room : 3m x 3m
balcony area : 4.415m x 3.13m
Bed room1 : 4.415m x 3m
Bed room2 : 3m x 3m
Bed room3 : 3m x 3m
Common toilet & bath : 1.2m x 3m
Store room : 1.29m x 1.7m
Passage area : 1.29m x 4.475m
Stair case : 3.125m x 2m
Dimensions of Structural Member-
Column size : 0.23m x 0.23m
Beam size : 0.23m x 0.45m
External wall thickness : 0.23m
Internal wall thickness : 0.125m
Slab thickness : 0.125m
Floor height : 3m
Waist slab : 0.15m
Assumptions-
Unit weight of RCC = 25KN/mÂł
Unit weight of brick masonry = 20KN/mÂł
Beam length = 1m
Slab length = 1m
Slab width = 1m
Calculation of Dead Load-
1.Volume of column = 0.23 x 0.23 x 3 = 0.16mÂł
Dead load on column = 0.16 x 25 = 4KN
2.Volume of beam = 0.23 x 0.45 x 1 = 0.103mÂł
Dead load on beam = 0.103 x 25 = 2.6KN
3.Volume of slab = 1 x 1 x 0.125 = 0.125mÂł
Dead load on slab = 0.125 x 25 = 3.125KN
4.Volume of external brick wall = 0.23 x 3 x 1 = 0.69m
Dead load on external brick wall = 0.69 x 20 = 13.8KN
5.Volume of internal brick wall = 0.125 x 3 x 1 = 0.375m
Dead load on internal brick wall = 0.125 x 20 = 7.5KN
Calculation of the Live Load-
As per IS: 875 (Part 2) - 1987 the live load of the residential buildings
Bed rooms = 2.0 KN/m²
Living room = 2.0 KN/m²
kitchen = 2.0 KN/m²
Toilet = 2.0 KN/m²
Bathrooms = 2.0 KN/m²
Staircase = 3.0 KN/m²
Balcony = 3.0 KN/m²
Calculation of the Wind Load:
As per IS: 875 (Part 3) - 1987 the wind load is designed only when the building exceeds 10m.Here in this case the height of the building is 6m. Therefore, the calculation of wind load is not required.
RESULT:
A G+1 floor residential plan, according to Vaastu Shastra has been drawn.
The names of the structural drawings required for the site for construction is provided.
The individual corresponding loads from the members as per IS code is calculated.
