Assumptions:

Beam size:0.225*0.3 m or(9"*12")
Column size: 0.225*0.3 m or (9"x12")
Thickness of slab with clear cover:150mm
Thickness of wall:300mm or 12"
Each floor height 3.5m

Ground floor:

Columns:

Unit weight of RCC = 25kN/m^3

Volume of column = 0.225*0.3*3.5 = 0.236

Self-weight of column = 25*0.236 = 5.906kN

Total column Self weight = number of columns* self-weight of each column

= 15*5.906= 88.593kN

Beams:

Note: Here we are considered individual beams are considered as one beam from one end to another end for easy calculation.

Area of Beams = 225mm*300mm

Volume of B1 = 0.225*0.3*8.8766*4 no's = 2.3966m^3

Volume of B2 = 0.225*0.3*10.033*4 no’s = 2.708m^3

Total vol of beams = 5.1055m^3

Total self-weight of Beams = 5.1055*25 = 127.637kN

Slab:

Area1 (overall area30' x 40')-Area2(Stairecase portion 6'x 11'4")

= (9.144 x 12.192)-(1.8288 x 3.4544)= 105.166m^2

Volume of slab = 0.150*105.166 = 15.774m^3

Self-weight of Slab = 25*15.774 = 394.37kN

Self-Weight of Walls:

Note: Windows and Doors are not considered in this structure. These are excluded in the calculation of self-weight of walls and column width is subtracted from walls.

Outer Walls:

10.033*0.3*3.5*2 sides=21.069 m^3
8.8519*0.3*3.5*2 sides= 18.588m^3
