Section Modulus calculation and optimization

Section modulus is a geometric property of a given cross-section. It is used in the design of beams or flexural members. this is used here in the hood design to calculate the section modulus. The lesser the section modulus the better. The command section modulus was used in NX. there is no perfect section modulus. it depends on the design of hood assembly. It varies from an SUV to a sedan. section modulus increases when distance between the neutral axis and the extreme end of the object increases. same happens when moment of inertia increases.
