DESIGN REPORT:

There are many parameters included for each part.

These parts include:

1. Outer roof panel.

2. Front and rear roof rail outer.

3. Front roof rail.

4. Rear roof rail.

5. Centre roof rail.

6. Bow Roof rail.

-> Firstly, outer roof panel is developed.

-> The we develop outer front roof rail by law extension and other commands

-> Here in sheet operation designing we mostly use law extensions and extend sheet operations mostly

-> Then later we develop the outer panel of rear roof rail

-> These outer panels are inclusions of outer roof panel.

-> Then inner front roof rail would be developed by the given design parameters

-> Also, the rear roof rail. Rear roof rail is a bit complex design as it must include the tail gate opening and closing in -> the design of it.

-> After these we would be mostly done with key elements of designing roof.

-> Here comes inner support panels of the roof.

-> They are roof rails which provide support and strength to the outer roof.

-> These rails include one front bow roof rail, centre roof rail and rear bow roof rail

-> Typically bow roof rails depend on the length of the vehicle in this case it is a car

-> Here we used one rear bow roof rail as the length of the doesn’t really need two rear rails we include one more if the length increase.

-> There should be clearance of "0.2 mm" between the outer roof panel and these inner roof rails

-> These rails positions are fixed the help of certain formulae.

-> After these sheet operations are we would have also given blends wherever required.

-> By now we have done the sheet design of entire roof.

-> Now will be the thickening of it to required thickness, mostly what we use is "0.75 mm".

-> Later would be the blends wherever we could not do in the sheet operations.

-> This is the process of designing an entire roof.

-> This design should take the inclusions drafting and done according.

-> Now we perform draft analysis to checking tooling ability of it.
