CAR ROOF ASSEMBLY DESIGN
What is the roof of the car?
An automobile roof or car top is "the portion of an automobile that sits above the passenger compartment, protecting the vehicle occupants from sun, wind, rain, and other external elements".
In later years, many variations on the automobile roof developed. These include:
Convertible roofs
How many types of car roofs are there?

There are at least three types of roofs commonly installed on cars, namely sunroofs, moonroofs, and also panoramic roofs. Sunroofs are often even called moonroofs. The three are actually different in terms of use and benefits. What are those differences?
Sunroof

Sunroofs can be opened and closed using an electronic system. Sunroofs cars allow light, fresh air, or even both to enter the car cabin. It’s easier to imagine a sunroof as a window on the car roof.
Commonly, sunroofs carry two types of panels made from the same solid metal used for the car ceiling exterior and can be pulled by hand to open the glass panel. Above it is colored glass that can be tilted backward to allow air from outside to enter the cabin.

GIVEN DATA
All assembly components master sections and create the roof surface with
given data for the styling surface of the Roof design. we can say skin data.

OUTER ROOF RAIL

The Ditch Area is the extended surface of the main Roof concealed, by other BIW panels. The rail supports of the roof are attached to the Ditch Area using Spot welds. since it is not a styling surface and remains concealed.
designed front roof rail

It is the support that is joined by the windshield glass. Body side outer and inner panels. the thickness used is 0.75mm. The windshield end flanges are the extract offset of the roof surface. The bottom-most flanges are decided after taking into consideration the visibility criteria. Spot weld is applied at the windshield end of the other end is joined with the roof using Mastics sealants which also contributes to increased strength.
Rear Roof rail

This is the support is joined to the back door and the Body side outer and inner panels. it is usually made from body side outer scrap and therefore the thickness of the rail is 0.75mm. Similar to the Front roof rail design. We have to take into consideration the rear headroom clearance and the rear visibility criteria while designing the rear roof rail from the backdoor design. Spot welds are applied at the back door end of the rail and the other end is joined with the roof using Mastic sealants.

Draft Analysis:
Draft analysis is a method of analyzing the draft angle on various faces of a part in a particular direction. it should be more than 7 degrees. draft analyzing command which lets you know if your model or design has a draft angle in a given tool direction.
If the part lies within the conditions it shows in green color if not shown in blue or red color.
