Procedure:

• Open the revit file from 6/7/8 week.
• Then export the file into NWC
• Save that file NWC project1.

2) Use Navigate Tool to walk around the model and walk through the rooms created and record your moving as animation in your Navisworks file

Procedure:

1) export the Revit file to be opened in navies work manage as NWC file

2)open the exported file

3)in the view toolbar select the walk option

4) from the save viewpoint click record

• export the Revit file to be opened in navies work manage as NWC file
• open the exported file
• in the view toolbar select the realism option
• from the save viewpoint click record

4) Embed both architecture and structure *.nwc file to your Navisworks file. Create a clash detection test between the two models
a. Run the Clash Detection Test
b. Study the clashes between the two models
c. List which of the clashes could be approved
d. List which of the clashes could be neglected ( will be taken care of later)
e. List which of the clashes can be resolved
f. Save the results after color-coding the clashes to the Navisworks file
g. In case of resolution annotate the clash and save the view to defined views in Navisworks

Aim:

To run the clash detection test between two files and listing the clashes using Navisworks

Procedure:

Step 1:

1) Open an Architectural file

2) Export it to the Naviswork

Step 2:

1) After exporting the architectural file click Append

2) Choose to Append and import Structural file into this file

Step 3:

1) Once the architectural and structural file has been merged click the Clash detective tool in Viewport

2) Click Start Test

3) Choose Architectural vs Structural

4) Click Run test

5) After running the test the result screen will appear.

• Here I allocate the status as Approved, Reviewed, Active. Resolved based on the preference.
• clashes with walls can be approved as changes will be made
• all the clashes with furniture from 448 can be approved
• clash with columns and beams can be marked resolved.

5) Using the Timeliner feature in Navisworks prepare a schedule for the project developed in week 6 to 8 by adding reasonable assumptions for the task start date and end date and simulate the task completion as a visual simulation. Record it and save the timeline simulation to the Navisworks file

Procedure:

1)under the home tab click on the time liner icon and a timeline window

2)pin selection tree window

3)add a task in the timeline window

4) to the tasks attach the elements by selecting them and clicking attach

5) assign dates for task

6) in the timeline window click stimulate to see the video for the time liner

7)from save view click record
