REVIT_Dynamo Project- 3

1) Using Dynamo create a set of sinusoidal points and create a curve and create a surface out of the curve.

Aim: Create a set of sinusoidal points and create a curve and create a surface out of the curve

Tools: Managetoolbar, slider, codeblock, product and coordinate.

Procedure:
1)Open new revitfile, click on manage toolbar, select dynamo and click on new.
2)Connect 3 integer sliders to range start, end step.
3)Connect range to coordinate and sine angle.
4)Add sine and code block to the product.
5)Connect product to the z-axis of coordinate then sine wave is created.
6)Connect the point by coordinate to nurbs curvebypoints.
7)Create another sine curve similar to the first curve.
8)Connect nurbscurvebycontrolpoints to list and connect list to surface by loft.

Result: Surface out of curve is created in dynamo.

2) Create a conceptual layout of floor plan in dynamo . Using the tools available in dynamo link the lines to appropriate model elements in Revit by choosing the wall types and wall parameters. Make use of the sliders to slide through the height of the wall and length of the wall.

Aim: Create a conceptual layout of floor plan in dynamo.

Tools: Slider, coordinate, line and list.

Procedure:
1)Open new dynamo file.
2)Connect to sliders to 3 points by coordinate.
3)Connect pointbycoordinate to linebystartpointendpoint.
4)Connect linebystartpointendpoint to listcreate and connect listcreate to outline curves.
5)Connect floortypes, levels to floor type and levels.
6)Connectlist, code block ,walltype, level to wallby curve and height.

Result: By using sliders floor and height of walls created.

3) Create an array of model elements in Revit. Use dynamo to vary the properties of model elements by using the slider or code block

Aim: Create an array of model elements in Revit use dynamo to vary the properties of model elements by using the slider

Tools: Model elements, integerslider and degree.

Procedure:
1)Open new file in revit and create model elements.
2)Click onmmange toolbar and open dynamofile.
3)Select the model elements in revit file.
4)Connect selectmodelelements to family instances and integerslider to degree.

Result: Varying the the properties of model elements by slider completed.

4) Create a conceptual mass in Revit and develop a parametric column by dividing the surfaces and apply the concepts similar to used in parametric walkway modelling. Use triangular bent or square shaped panels to add finish to the parametric column

Aim: Create a conceptual mass in Revit and develop a parametric column by dividing the surfaces

Tools: 3dview, levels and polygon.

Procedure:
1)Create new family and adjust the levels.
2)Draw spline through points in 3d view.
3)Draw polygon on each plane.
4)Select lines and click on create form and change the properties.

Result: Parametric walkway modelling created in the revit.

5) Use Dynamo to work on developing a Parametric Stadium. List your parameters and use the visual programming approach to complete the modelling, You can use the concepts discussed in parametric high rise tower in class for reference.

Aim: Use Dynamo to work on developing a Parametric Stadium

Tools: slider, coordinate, rectangle and vector.

Procedure:
1)Open new dynamofile and create four integr sliders.
2)Connect two integer slider to codeblock and connectit to coordinate.
3)Connect coordinate to rectangle and new integer slider to rectangle.
4)connect rectangle to geometry, origin to origin, vector z asix to axis and code block to geometry rotation.
5)Connectgeometry to surface by loft.

Result: Developing parametric stadium is completed.
