Radar Mast & Final Assembly of Yacht

MODELLING & RENDERING OF RADAR MAST YACHT

Objective:-

To designe a model each components required to make assembly of an Super Yacht in solidworks and Photorealistic rendering of the complete assembly.

Introduction:-

This project explains the designing of Super Yacht from sketching the parts and modelling to final rendering of the assembly.

Design of Methodology:-

Description:-

Extrude:-

Extrude a sketch or selected sketch contours in one or two directions tro create a solid fature.

Revolve:-

The revolve feature is used to revolve a 2D sketch along an axis or centerline to make a 3D model.A 2D sketch is drawn and revolved by selecting its reference line for axis of rotation and defining the angle of rotation.

Sweep:-

Sweeps a closed profile an open or closed path to create a solid feature.

Fillet:-

To create a rounded internal or external face along one or more edges in solid or surface feature.

Lofted boss/Base:-

To adds a material two or more profiles to create a solid feature.

Mirror:-

To mirroer Selected entities about a centerline or Planar Reference.

Shell:-

The shell toolhollows out a part, leaves open the faces you select and creates thin walled features on the remaining faces.

Linear and circular pattern:-

The linear pattern command is used to drive features, faces or bodies in a linear direction.

Projected curves:-

A projected curve is a 3D curve that represents the intersection of two extruded surfaces of two sketches on intersection planes.

Mates:-

Mate operation is the basic tool for assembly the parts. There are various mate operations such as a coincident, parallel, perpendicular, tangent, concentric and lock etc.We can mate a two faces by defining distance or angle between them.

Surface Extrude:-

To creates a extruded surface.

Revolved Surface:-

To creates surface feature by revolving a open or closed profile around an axis.

Swept surface:-

Creates a surface feature by sweeping an open or closed profile along an open or closed path.

Lofted surface:-

To creates a lofted surfce between two or more profiles.

Boundry surface:-

To creates a boundry surface between profile in two directions.

Filled surface:-

Constructs a surface patch within a boundry defined by existing model edges, sketches or curves.

Ruled surface:-

Knit Surface:-

Combine two or more adjacent non-intersecting surfaces together.

Propeller:-

A propeller is a device with a rotating hub and radiating blades that are set at a pitch to form a helical spiral, that, when rotated, exerts linear thrust upon a working fluid, such as water or air.

Radar:-

Radar (Radio Detection and Ranging) is a detection system that uses radio waves to determine the distance (range), angle, or velocity of objects. It can be used to detect aircraft, ships, spacecraft, guided missiles, motor vehicles, weather formations, and terrain.

Hull:-

A hull is the watertight body of a ship, boat, or flying boat. The hull may open at the top, or it may be fully or partially covered with a deck. Atop the deck may be a deckhouse and other superstructures, such as a funnel, derrick, or mast. The line where the hull meets the water surface is called the waterline.

Garage door:-

Front Seat:-

Middle seat:-

Rear seat:-

Super structure:-

A superstructure is an extended construction of any building or platform that rises above the rest of the building or platform in a distinct manner. Thus, superstructure means to add a construction to an already existing structure. In ships this is the name given to the part of the ship that emerges from the deck.

Radar mast:-

Marine radars are X band or S band radars on ships, used to detect other ships and land obstacles, to provide bearing and distance for collision avoidance and navigation at sea. Radar is a vital navigation component for safety at sea and near the shore.
