Radar Mast & Final Assembly of Yacht

DESIGN AND ASSEMBLY OF SUNSEEKER PREDATOR YACHT

  • OBJECTIVE:
  • Designing & modeling the different parts of the yacht.
  • Designing and modeling the main structural parts of the yacht such as(the hull, front seat, middle seat, rear seat, superstructure, and radar mast.) using the reference of the blueprint.
  • Build the assembled sunseeker predator yacht as a photorealistic render using the Solidworks visualize.
  • INTRODUCTION:
  • Solidworks is a mechanical 3D CAD( computer-aided designing) software.
  • Designing and modeling the sunseeker predator yacht by Solidworks.
  • Yacht is modeled by both surface modeling and solid modeling. Mostly the main structural parts of the yacht are modeled as a surface body and then converted into a solid body.
  • Yacht is a luxury performance motor brand yacht.

DESIGN METHODOLOGY:

EXPLANATION OF FEATURES:

PLANE:

  • To draw the section view of the parts.
  • To draw the particular portion (or) side of part.

SKETCH:

  • To draw the part by applying the command and smart dimensions at particular plane.

FILLET:

  • It creates the round shapes at corner of the edge of part.

CHAMPER:

  • It creates the sloping/tapered shape at corner of the edge.

CONVERT ENTITIES:

  • It gives the same sketch profile on the same plane (or) other plane with same dimension value.

OFFSET ENTITIES:

  • It creates the same sketch profile from selected model edges by specified distance.

MIRROR ENTITIES:

  • When you create mirrored entities, apply a symmetric relation between each corresponding pair of sketch points.

SHELL:

  • The shell tool creates hollows out the inside of the solid, leaving a shell of a specified wall thickness.

EXTRUDE BOSS/BASE:

  • Extrude tool is used to extend the sketch in one or two direction with solid feature.

REVOLVED BOSS/BASE:

  • It is used to create the revolved solid body sketch with reference of axis or lines.

EXTRUDE CUT:

  • It is used to remove the materials from solid body in either one or two direction.

REVOLVE CUT:

  • It is used to remove the materials from revolved solid body sketch in either one or two direction.

SWEPT BOSS/BASE:

  • It creates the solid body around the sketch profile along an open & closed path.

LOFT:

  • This feature creates a complex shape between the multiple profiles & guide curves.

DOME:

  • It creates tangent to adjacent cylindrical & conical surfaces.

TRIM:

  • It is used to remove the extra line of the surface.

PATTERN:

  • It creates the number of sketch profiles through selected sketch along the reference path.

SPLIT:

  • The split tool is used to project onto other surface or curved planar surfaces.

PROJECTED CURVE:

  • Project the sketched curve on the model face & combines with another 2D curve to get the 3D curve.

SURFACE EXTRUDE:

  • It creates the extruded surface based on the reference sketch.

SURFACE EXTEND:

  • Extend the surface from the reference edge of the body.

FILLED SURFACE:

  • It creates the surface patch through the reference edge of the body, sketch, and curves.

SURFACE TRIM:

  • It is used to trim the extra surface from a reference sketch or plane.

SURFACE LOFT:

  • It is used to create a complex shape based on the reference of multiple curves and guide curves.

SURFACE SWEEP:

  • It creates the surface based on the reference of the sketch profile & path.

RULED SURFACE:

  • It creates a surface that extends ut in a specified direction from selected edges.

3D SKETCH:

  • Draw the sketch in x,y, and z directions.

SPLIT LINE:

  • It is used to split the model.

HELIX/SPIRAL:

  • This feature creates a spiral or helix based on the reference sketch.

DELETE FACE:

  • It is used to delete unnecessary faces and this feature comes with some options like delete face & path face & delete fill.

KNIT SURFACE:

  • Knit surface is used to combine two or more surfaces together and make them single surface body.

1. PROPELLER

  • Propeller is the main component of every marine.
  • Propeller is a mechanical device formed by two or more blades that spin around a shaft and produces a propelling force in boats.
  • A main function of the propeller is to propel the yacht move forward.

2. RADAR:

  • Radar is used to detect the objects and their position relative to the current location.
  • It helps to detect boats, birds, landmasses, and weather systems even if the visuality is less than usual.
  • It emits the radio signal on the object and it reflects and receives the output signal.
  • Radar is located above the superstructure of the yacht.

FEATURES:

  • Extrude
  • Mirror
  • Cut extrude
  • Fillet
  • Sketch-driven pattern

3. HULL

  • A hull is the watertight body of a ship or boat. The hull may open at the top of it may be fully or partially covered with deck.
  • All hull shapes have smooth curves.
  • The hull is supported exclusively or predominantly by buoyancy.
  • The front curved portion of the hull produced maximum lift and a smooth fast ride in flat water.
