Radar Mast & Final Assembly of Yacht

PROJECT TITLE ASSEMBLING AND RENDERING OF YACHT

Introduction:yacht a sail- power-driven vessel, useually light and coparatively small,used for racing or for recreation.in recreation,the term applies to very large creft,originally powered by sail and later by steam or internal-combustion engines.

Objective:to design,assembling and rendering of yacht by using solid works software.the main purpose of project is to undeestand all commands in depth that we use in this and to cearte a full yacht with all its components and bring it realistic as possible.realistic means given the structure of yacht with all equipment s like sofa.flage table etc.....

design:to design yacht i used the bottom up approach which defines that the compnents are creat and assembled with proper mates,for desing of yacht we use blueprint setup of the yacht.

components of yacht :

• Radar Mast
• Super structure
• Front,Middle,Rear seat.
• garage door
• propeller
• Radar

EXPLANATION OF COMPONENTS:

HULL:A hull is an important of the yacht. it is the part to which all other parts are attached.it is a watertight structure.

procedure :The blueprint of the yacht is inserted usig a skech picture feature and placed at proper planes ,using splines and lines the 2d sketch of side body and waterline are created and using projected curve feature it is projected into 3d.using the surface loft feature the curve are lofted and the unwanted surface is trimmed using the surface trim.usin g the surface fill the deck and the side surface is closed .then using shell feature the selected surface is made into a shell,using the offset feature the outer edges are offset and extrued to make bottom portion of the hull into a solid body.using the fillets we making the edges of the hull .

SUPERSTRUCTURE:

A super structure is fitted ontothe hull. it is the main compartment for the passengers and the goods.

To model the supersteucture the deck surface from the hull was imported. sketch for the superstructure was drawn looking at the top view of the blueprint.using surface extrude and loft surface feature the surface is created .

we need to do the surface knit.using the ruled surface the nrt surface of the sidewall was created with an angle.using projection curve the path for the surface above the window is created.and using the 3D sketch the profile. using

RADAR MAST:A radar mast is a frame that support the radar.it is positioned at the aft above the superstructure surface.

The blueprint model is used to sketch the base of radr mast. using lines and splines the sketch was drawn. then using boss extrude the sketch was extruded.Then using revloved feature the upper protion of th body is created.the antenna for radar was created using the extrude boss.the lampstand was created using sweep feature and projected curves.the horns were created using the revolve,domeand shell feature.chamber and filltes were applied.

FRONT SEAT:

Front seat is desinged in such a way that the passengers can relax on it. the seata are fully reclined back to make it comfortable.Deck surface was imported from the hull connecting the deck surface the side of seat was created . using surface sweep. surface fill was used to fill the top surface of the seat.

using surface knit the surface are properly knitted to avoid gaps.using mirror tool the other haif was mirrored the front seat and beds created using cut extruded.filltes were given,the part was given appearance.

GARAGE DOOR: door to close the garage space on the yacht.from the hull part ,the split model was imported using the extrued cut the door was created,using shell feature the solid body for the garare door was created.ftlltes and chamfers are given.the holdes for the door are given using extreued cut,using the mirror tool the other haif of the door is created.using split and sketch feature text over the garage door was given.the part is given with proper appearance.

PROPELLER: Propeller are used to move the yacht in forward direction it provides the thrust for the movement. it is fitted at the rear end of yacht.

RADAR:radar is used for communication when yacht is sailing.it is used to transmit and recevie sings from yacht to the controlling station

ASSEMBLY OF YACHT:

in assembly the parts we created are mated together to form the whole model.

• import all the parts manually by using insert component option,fix hull,superstructure,radarmast automatically by cliking ok other parts are manually fixed using necessary mates and constrains.
