Project Title – Designing of Sunseeker Predator Yacht

Objective -

• To create different parts of Sunseeker Predator Yacht in Solid works using various types of sketches and feature tools.
• To assembly the different modelled parts to create the yacht
• To create photorealistic rendered images of the Sunseeker predator Yacht using solid works Visualization.

Introduction

The Sunseeker predator yacht was modelled using part modelling, once after all the parts were modelled separately, they were assembled to create the sunseeker predator yacht.

It consists of following parts:

• Propeller
• Radar
• Blueprint
• Hull
• Garage Door
• Front Seat
• Middle Seat
• Rear Seat
• Superstructure
• Radar Mast
• Final Assembly

Part Modelling: The 3D part is the basic building block of any large-scale design. Features are the individual shapes when combined make up the part, one can also add some types of features to assemblies, Part documents can contain multiple solid bodies that we can manipulate the same way as a single body.

Description:

Command option used for designing:

• Sketch in 2D drawing – Line a straight line vertical or horizontal or for construction can be drawn.

Circle 3-point circle or centre point circle

Square 3-point square, centre point square can be drawn

Spline curve to draw curve drawing or a path for smooth curve design

• Extrude Boss - Convert 2D drawing into 3D model
• Extrude Surface – Make a 3D model on surface with the help of 2D sketch
• Extrude Cut – To cut a slot hole inside of extrude boss feature
• Surface Cut - To cut a slot inside extrude surface model
• Surface Fill – To fill Surface of boundary edges to make a solid body
• Reference Plane – To make a new plane on 3D sketch for different parts
• Dome – To create a Fillet like circular dome surface on flat surface
• Fillet – To convert sharp edges to a smooth edge
• Chamfer – To convert edges into degree cut for slope shape
• Mirror – To copy and 2D or 3D sketch or model on another reference side
• Smart dimension- To input numeric vale on sketch
• Revolve – Revolving of 2D sketch into a 3D sketch with help of reference line in 360 or 180 degrees
• Sweep Boss – Following a extrude feature in curve path
