Radar Mast & Final Assembly of Yacht
Title of the Project: This project consist of assembly of a yacht model which made up of different components designed in solidworks mostly using surface modeling and rendering of the component to get the photorealistic image of the yacht model.
OBJECTIVE: The objective of the project is to model various parts of the yacht, assembly of the parts as well as rendering of the yacht model. During the modeling , various sketching tools as well as surface modeling tools and 3d tools will be explored to model complex parts.
DESIGN METHODOLOGY:
- SETTING UP THE BLUEPRINTS OF THE YACHT MODEL IN SOLIDWORKS ENVIRONMENT.

Here above blueprints of the yacht model is adjusted as shown above and then sketching is done afterwards.
2. In this project, bottom-up design approach is used. Firstly, modelling of separate parts were done and then appearances was given to each part individually. Finally, assembly of the parts was done to get the final complete shape of the model that is yacht. Then decals are added and scene setup was done to get the perfect environment. The final rendering was done in photoview 360 and solid works visualize to get the photorealistic image of the final product.

9) SUPERSTRUCTURE:

- REVOLVE- It adds or removes material by one or more profiles by a centerline. We can create revolve boss/base, revolve cuts or revolved surfaces. The revolve feature can be a solid, a thin feature, or a surface.
- LOFT- It creates a feature by making transition between profiles and it can be base, bose, cut or surface. It is valuable for modelling complex surfaces.
- CIRCULAR PATTERN- It is used to create multiple instances of one or more features that we can space uniformly around an axis. It is based on feature.
- FILLET- It is used to create a rounded internal or external face on the part. We can fillet all edges of a face, selected sets of faces, selected edges or edge loops.
- BOSS EXTRUDE- It is used to create a 3d model with the selected sketch or face.
- SURFACE SWEEP- These are the surfaces that are generated from a section curve positioned along a path. It creates a surface feature by moving a profile across a path.
- SURFACE EXTRUDE- we can create extruded surfaces from model that includes 2d or 3d faces and knit the extruded surfaces to surrounded features.
- CHAMFER- This tool is used to take measure against sharp edges both for safety and to prevent damage to the edges.
- SURFACE FILL- It is used to create or constructs a surface patch with any number of sides, within a boundry defined by existing model edges , sketches or curves. It is also used to fill a gap in a model designed in solidworks.
- SURFACE KNIT- It is a special tool used for combining or adding two surfaces into one so that the whole model can become one part and other features can also be applied on them for once not independently.
- SURFACE LOFT- It is used to generate surfaces by multiple 3d curves or existing edges creating a smooth tangency between the selected curves.
