YACHT PROJECT REPORT
Aim: To design the components of the yacht and assemble them in solid works using both solid and surface modelling and also to provide renderings to the assembled part using solid works visualize.
Components:
These are the components of the yacht:
- Propeller.
- Radar.
- Hull.
- Garage Door.
- Seats.
- Super structure.
- Radar Mast.
Approach:

Procedure:
1.Propeller:
A propeller is a device with a rotating hub and radiating blades which transforms rotational power into linear thrust by acting upon a working fluid, such as water.
- Features such as lines 2D Sketch, Line, Circle, Spline, Revolve Boss, Loft Boss, Cut Extrude and Circular Pattern were used.
- Sketches required for the propeller were drawn in appropriate planes.
- Revolve Boss is used to create the profile for the propeller.
- Radiating blades were designed using splines and with the help of loft boss extrude these blades were created and fillets were applied to the corners.
- Circular pattern is used to pattern the blades on the circular profile.

- Radar:
Radar is a device which is used to transmit signals using radio waves which consists of transmitter to generate electromagnetic waves.
- Features such as 2D Sketch, Boss Extrude, Fillet, Sketch Pattern, Mirror.
- Sketches were drawn in the appropriate planes and extruded them using boss extrude.
- Fillets were applied to the corners and sketch pattern is used to create the pattern of the drawn sketches and finally mirrored the half portion of the radar with the reference of mid plane.
- Text is added to the radar using split line option.

- Hull:
Hull is the deck house of the yacht and contains the garage and the seats and also the equipment to position the yacht at rest.
- Features such 2D Sketch, 3D Sketch, Lines, Splines, Circles, Projected Curves, Boss extrude, Surface extrude, Loft extrude, trim surfaces, extend surfaces, sketch pattern.
- All the sketches required for the hull were drawn with the help of blue prints in the appropriate planes.
- Project curves were used to position the curves exactly at the required place.
- Surface modelling is used completely and knit surface is used to eliminate the gaps and convert the body into solids.
- Sketch pattern is used to create the windows.

- Garage Door:
Garage helps to park the vehicles in the yacht and garage door secure their movement and not let the vehicles to come outside of the garage.
- Features such as 2D Sketch, Cut Extrude, Shell, Mirror and fillet were used.
- The body of the garage is imported from the hull and this part is converted into the garage door.
- 2D sketches were drawn and garage is cut extruded to form the garage door.
- Shell is applied to remove the material and fillets were applied to the corners and mirror is used to portray the body.

- Seats:
Seats provides comfort to sit for the passengers and these are located at the front of the yacht and also at the middle and rear of the yacht.
- Front, middle, rear seats of the yacht were drawn in the required planes and these sketches were constrained.
- Features such as 2D Sketch, 3D Sketch and Projected Curves, Boss Extrude, Sweep Extrude, Surface Modelling.
- Surface modelling is used to create seats and with the help of Knit surfaces all the surfaces were knitted and converted into solids.
- Fillets and chamfers were used to eliminate the sharp corners and domes were applied for the appearance.
Front Seats:

Middle Seats:

Rear Seats:

- Superstructure:
Superstructure is the extension body of the hull where a room is provided and also the yacht is controlled at the front of the superstructure and contains all the controls of the yacht.
- Features as 2D Sketch, 3D Sketch, Solid modelling and surface modelling.
- All the sketches were drawn and extruded using surfaces and the sketches were fully defined using appropriate constraints.
- 2D Sketches such as lines, circles, splines, rectangles and arcs were used to design the superstructure.
- All the surfaces were knitted and converted into solids using knit surface tool.
- Project curve is used to position the sketch according to the blue prints and fillets and chamfers were applied and provided with good aesthetics.

- Radar Mast:
Radar mast contains the equipment to generate the radio waves and this contains antennas and vessels.
- Features such as 2D sketch and boss extrude and cut extrude and revolve were used.
- Sketches were drawn and these sketches were constrained and drawn in the appropriate planes.
- Lines, splines and circles, slot was used.
- Boss extrude is used to convert the sketches into solids and revolve is used to convert the sketches into solids.
- Mirror is used to create the remaining portion of the Radar mast.

Assembly:
Assembly of yacht is done and renderings were done to the final assembly in solid works visualize.

Conclusion:
All the components of the yacht were drawn and rendered and assembled them using Solid works and renderings were performed to the final assembly using solid works visualize.
