Radar Mast & Final Assembly of Yacht

DESIGNING AN SUNSEEKER PREDATOR YACHT USING SOLIDWORKS

INTRODUCTION
This report contains an explanation for designing a Sunseeker Predator Yacht using solidwork software. This helps to know how to use the tool, 3D modeling, Assembling and Rendering in Solidworks

OBJECTIVES
The main objective of this course is to learn 3D modeling, and also exploring most of the tools, Assembling, and rendering of the models. The following steps were undertaking while designing a Sunseeker Predator Yacht.

  • Designing individual component
  • Assembling the model
  • Decals, setting up the scene, lights, and camera
  • Final rendering

METHODOLOGY

Main components of a Sunseeker Predator Yacht

  1. Propeller
  2. Radar
  3. Hull
  4. Front seats
  5. Middle seats
  6. Rear seats
  7. Superstructure
  8. Radarmast

1. Propeller
A propeller is a rotating fan-like structure that is used to propel the ship by using the power generated and transmitted by the main engine of the ship. The transmitted power is converted from rotational motion to generate a thrust which imparts momentum to the water, resulting in a force that acts on the ship and pushes it forward.

2. Radar
Marine radars are X band or S-band radars on ships, used to detect other ships and land obstacles, to provide bearing and distance for collision avoidance and navigation at sea. They are electronic navigation instruments that use a rotating antenna to sweep a narrow beam of microwaves around the water surface surrounding the ship to the horizon, detecting targets by microwaves reflected from them, generating a picture of the ship's surroundings on a display screen

3. Hull
A hull is the watertight body of a ship, boat, or flying boat. The hull may open at the top, or it may be fully or partially covered with a deck. At the top, the deck may be a deckhouse and other superstructures, such as a funnel, derrick, or mast.

ASSEMBLY OF SUNSEEKER PREDATOR YACHT

All the designed parts are taken into the assembly section in SolidWorks and using different mating features such as concentric, coincident and distance, etc. the entire assembly of the Sunseeker Predator Yacht

After the assembly, the Sunseeker Predator Yacht next applying the decals, camera, external lightings, and background scenes through photoview 360, and rendering is done through SolidWorks visualize

CONCLUSION

  • The parts of the Sunseeker Predator Yacht are modeled.
  • The parts mated and assembled together.
  • The photo-realistic image was rendered with the help of photo view 360 and SolidWorks visualize.
