Project Name:-Healthcare Managment System

Introduction:

Over the last few decades, the need to digitize the healthcare services industry has increased strongly. Having a system in place that will not only allow but also enhance administrative as well as clinical operations in the medical field is a must. Healthcare Management System is an all-in-one software system that provides expert solutions, automates daily operations, manages documentation, inventory, and bills, and overall lifts the heavy weight off the clinicians’ shoulders.

Basically, a healthcare management system is a cloud-based web medical management framework that registers and incorporates the data from every single department to make all the internal activities automated. A healthcare management system software seeks to cover a wide range of tasks right from streamlining the workflow for medics to providing superior patient experience and everything in between, such as downsizing administrative costs and reducing errors.

Every healthcare unit works as a system with multiple departments that needs to be consolidated as one for effective information sharing and administration. HMS consolidates clinicians, patients, medical supplies, laboratory results data, insurance, medical bills, doctor appointments, and reports. It is quite important to have this system in place to foster the performance of healthcare sector in both low and middle income countries.

Project general Objective:

The main objective of this project is to design a web based technology that will be used in the health care managment system by consolidating all departments within the unit that can be manage from one central point where information sharing and transmission will be possible.

Project specific objectives:

• To have a reliable computer based system and other accessories within the healthcare managment system.
• To have a reliable network source that will be used for information transmission and cloud computing.
• To have trained human personnel to operate the introduced system.
• To have efficient and user friendly programming language that will be used in the system.
• To incoperate all departments to flexible monitoring central points.

Tools required for the project

• Computer devices and accessories.
• Trained personnel
• Python programming language.
• Network system

Set up of the system;

• The system to be put in departments such as Outpatient department as the entry point,in the laboratory,Finance,admission wards,consultation room,medical record department,and diagnostic units and administration unit and even blood bank.
• Preferably python language will be used to determine patients eligability for certain services like blood test,radiology,admission,and follow up visit and other options.
• A servere will be placed centrally to handle data transmission and for security purposes.
• Login system (patient/admin/doctor) should be added,appointment option to be available,manage patient,doctor, and doctor's specialization should be added.

Doctors appointment booking can be developed by encouraging new patients at every visit to download an HMS app on their phone that will have a provision for doctor's listing like the doctor's profile,notifications to the patient,patient's data base,appointment managment,e-billing and payment and add on features.
