Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit
1. battery, generator, current and voltage regulator, distributor,breaker, starter
2.
battery- the heart of the automobile, is a combination of cells arranged in parallel or series connection accordingly to power and current requirements. Battery of a automotive is the driving force of the vehicle, which is used to power the electric motor. And most usually Li-Ion batteries are used in an automotive. it also provides power to vehicle accesories
generator- alternator or genrator is used in vehicles to charge up the battery during motion. In electric vehicles it used mainly used during braking rather than during motion in fuel based vehicles to eliminate any power loss, or loss of efficiency.
current and voltage regulator - it makes sure that the battery is performing within its specifed voltage and current, generated through the generator in order to prevent and misshappenings.
3. If the total load is 10A, it is recommended that the fuse rating must be higher than the total load, not much higher though. It should be generally be on the range of 15A
4. For Power = 500 W
taking battery voltage as 12 v
P= VI
I = P/V= 500/12= 41.6 Ampere rating= 41.6 AH is the capacity
5. all the accesory lights - parking lamp, plate lamp etc. and horn are connected in series so that uniform and equal voltage is available across each lamp and horn ensuring equal magnitude in light and sound at all conditions.
6. ammeter is connected in series so that the same current in the circuit flows through it and gets measured
battery, distributor are all connected in series to ensure same and equal current passing through the circuit.
